JULY 2021 UPDATE
The Neighborhood Plan Process has been delayed due to the lawsuit filed by land trusts against Walton County
Grayton Beach is a perfect example of how a neighborhood plan works in a community's favor. Grayton is able to maintain the history and look of their community by having these standards in place.
We are excited that Walton County offers this option to help retain the unique character and charm that makes our neighborhoods a place to call our home.

A Neighborhood plan is created in a public forum with the ability of all property owners in Gulf Shore Manor to take part in the year long process. It overlays Walton County's Comprehensive Plan and Land Use Development Codes, enabling specific standards of Gulf Shore Manor to be recognized and adhered to by developers, the county and individual property owners.
A neighborhood plan also serves as a communication tool between our property owners and the county. We will be notified early on in the process when changes are considered and will be able to get involved sooner rather than when it is too late to have an effect.

February 25th, 2020
On July 15th, 2020 a certified letter was sent to all property owners in Gulf Shore Manor. The letter contains a link to an online survey. Survey questions were based on input from the public meeting on February 25th, 2020 and comments made to the Neighborhood Planning Committee since that time. The survey must be completed online by August 28th, 2020 by 5pm CST. This survey also contains a ballot of interest which needs the property owners support in order for this process to continue.
